Introductory Psychology is a general introductory course that covers a variety of topics: history of psychology, research methodology, physiological psychology, sensation and perception, states of consciousness, learning, intelligence and cognition, memory, motivation and emotion, developmental psychology, personality, stress and health, social psychology, and abnormal psychology. The purpose of the course is to introduce the student to the discipline as a basis for future studies in the field and/or to allow an understanding of behavior for use in everyday life.
